Social Media Director

The Social Media Director is responsible for overseeing the Company’s Social Media Strategy and Social Media team across all internal brands and platforms. This role coordinates with the internal PR, Editorial, Marketing, Product Management, Customer Support, HR and Engineering to support the Company’s mission. The position involves ensuring our social broadcasting is fully integrated with all other efforts across the Company’s portfolio, as well as managing the social media budget.

Responsibilities:

• Create the social media strategy, coordinating with stakeholders across the Company to ensure its effectiveness and ensure the adoption of relevant social media techniques into the corporate culture and into all of the company’s products and services
• Own the roadmap and budget for the social media tools in use on the Company’s sites, directing social media tool integration
• Manage social media resources, direct or indirect, ensuring a superior quality of communication and project delivery is provided at all times
• Coordinate the planning of social media campaigns, ensuring customer acquisition or retention and supporting monetization across the company’s portfolio
• Source and manage relationships with social monitoring and platform partners to support and develop B2B opportunities
• Provide benchmarks and analyze data to inform company-wide decision-making and commercial campaign targets are met
• Identify and recommend strategic social media partnerships to uniquely differentiate company in Social Media

Required Skills and Experience:

• 7-10 years of digital marketing experience
• 3-5 years of consumer and social media experience; preferably agency or corporate
• Passion for social media and social networking
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of social media, networking platforms and social media agencies and partners
• Proven results using social media tactics to drive business objectives
• Creative, diplomatic, cool under pressure and fantastic interpersonal and presenting skills
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Experience of business and strategy development
• Experienced in managing social media campaigns and strategy from conception to implementation
• Ability to think creatively and effectively articulate ideas
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
